Emerging into the blogosphere

Over the last few years I’ve rather enjoyed working on a number of research projects, and so sometime last year I signed up for an MSc in the Social Science of the Internet at the Oxford Internet Institute. A big part of the MSc is the research thesis – and for my research I’ve decided to explore Government Open Data.

Between now and August 2010 I’ll be looking at government open data efforts from all sorts of different angles – but particularly looking to explore the social impacts of taking government data, and opening it up to the world in easy-to-access, easy-to-reuse ways.

This blog is here to document that exploration in as open a way as possible.

I will make it look prettier soon.
